In 1977, Jerry Churchill had become a very successful freight salesman in the Michigan-Ontario area.    When the opportunity came along to be an agent for a nationwide company, he jumped at the chance, and Churchill Transportation was born. From a small office in Dearborn, MI., and a loyal customer following, Churchill became a highly successful freight broker specializing in freight moving between the U.S. and Canada. In November of 1980, Churchill moved to our current location here in Detroit. Progress was slow but successful and in 1984 Churchill developed a relationship with the Chrysler Corporation and things moved rapidly after that.  When Joe Bromley joined Churchill in 1990, things took off. By the mid 90′s, the company had  annual revenues of 45 million. Serving the USA, Canada, and offering thru-trailer service to Mexico, Churchill Transportation Inc. had become an award winning carrier with Daimler-Chrysler and an expert in JIT transportation. Currently operating with a fleet of 150 tractors, 400 53′ air-ride trailers Churchill is the largest carrier domiciled in Detroit, MI.
